Shot Breakdown:
Soldier Tackle - Xenomorph and Marine animation - Original concept through completion. Assist technical animator with in game setup. Took animation from storyboard through completion.
Lurker Reveal - Xenomorph and Camera Animation only - Took over existing scene close to submission deadline and reworked xeno introduction and camera setup to create a more compelling introduction to a new class of character.
Hawthorne Death - All animation from storyboard through completion - Set up event in Unreal Engine 3 using matinee and kismet.
Keyes Death - All animation from storyboard through completion - Assisted technical animator with in game setup.
Covering Fire - Storyboard through completion - Create cutscene event using a mix of hand key and motion capture animation. Set up event level in Unreal Engine 3 using matinee and kismet. Also handled rendering and post production in After Effects and Bink.
Lurker Pounce Close Encounter - All animation - Board and animate close encounter scenario with Xenomorph with victory and defeat outcomes. Worked closely with Game and Level designers during implementation.
Boss Fight Intro - Storyboard through completion - Create cutscene event using a mix of hand key and motion capture animation. Set up event level in Unreal Engine 3 using matinee and kismet. Also handled rendering and post production in After Effects and Bink.
Lurker Pounce Close Encounter Fail - All animation - Create failure scenario animations where the player is cinematically killed after failing minigame. Worked closely with Game and Level designers during implementation.
